Exhibitions
We take the layout out 2-3 times a year. To do this, we have to erect it at home (it lives in a large transportable box) and clean it, repair any damage and clean the track thoroughly - not easy when it is inset into the paving.
All loco wheels have to be cleaned and run for 30 minutes in each direction.
All stock has to be checked and coupling heights measured.
The layout has to be run to ensure all the electrics, points and lights are working and any defects rememdied.
Only then can we pack it all away again, hire a van, load it all up and take it to the venue.
After the show it all has to be packed away again and transported back home.

We have been invited to Worthing in September 2027 and the Yeovil Town show but fitting everyone in is a challenge.
2028 York Easter show
